Job Title: Private Client Tax Manager

Location: City of London, W1T

Salary: Up to £72,000!

The Opportunity:

I'm seeking an ambitious tax professional to drive a growing private client department. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of 150-200 clients while leading a team of junior staff, combining technical excellence with exceptional client service.

What You'll Do:

• Client Management: Build and maintain relationships with high net-worth individuals, partnerships, and owner-managed businesses
• Technical Delivery: Handle complex capital gains tax issues, inheritance tax planning, and anti-avoidance legislation
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, conduct appraisals, and provide technical training
• Business Development: Lead client pitches, identify opportunities, and contribute to practice growth
• HMRC Liaison: Confidently manage complex enquiries, settlements, and penalty negotiations

What I'm Looking For -

Essential:

• ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven experience with private client tax advisory work
• Strong background in Self-Assessment and tax computations
• Experience managing non-UK domiciled/non-resident clients
• Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills
• Expertise in inheritance tax planning and trust structures

Desirable:

• Experience with UK and offshore trusts
• Knowledge of property investment structures
• Track record in business development and client acquisition
