Reed Practice is recruiting for a Private Client Tax Associate on behalf of a respected accounting firm based in Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to develop their career in a client-focused role within a supportive and well-established firm. The firm works with a broad range of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trusts, offering tailored tax planning and compliance services.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Associate, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns for a portfolio of private clients
  • Support senior team members with tax planning projects, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and residency/domicile matters
  • Liaise directly with clients and HMRC, handling queries and correspondence
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation and contribute to internal technical discussions
  • Work closely with managers and partners to deliver a high standard of service
  • Begin to take ownership of client relationships as you progress
About You

You are ATT qualified or studying towards CTA, and:

  • Have experience working in a private client tax role within a UK accountancy practice
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of personal tax matters
  • Are confident communicating with clients and building trusted relationships
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
  • Are comfortable working in a hybrid model, with flexibility between office and remote work
