Private Client Partner – Leeds | Legal 500 Tier 1 Law Firm | Leadership Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Partner or Senior Private Client Solicitor (Legal Director/Senior Associate with Partnership aspirations) to join a top-tier Legal 500 firm in Leeds, renowned for its Private Client & Charity practice.

This is a rare chance to take a key leadership role in the ongoing expansion of a Tier 1 ranked Private Client team, advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and landed estates on a wide range of complex and high-value private wealth matters.

About the Role:

As part of this dynamic and highly respected department, you will play a pivotal role in developing the Leeds Private Client practice. Working closely with the head of department — recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers as a “Leading Individual” — you’ll help shape strategy, grow the team and expand the firm’s presence across the Yorkshire private client market.

This opportunity would suit a Private Client Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step up into partnership.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in high-value and complex private client work
• Proven track record of developing strong client relationships
• A strategic, business development mindset with demonstrable success in growing a client base
• Leadership experience, ideally including supervision or mentoring of junior lawyers
• STEP qualification is desirable but not essential
• Ambition to build a recognised presence in the Leeds private client market

• Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
