Job Description :

Life is about great experiences. Your insurance career should be too.

Are you a talented, driven, and proactive individual with exceptional account handling skills looking for a truly unique and unmissable career-boosting opportunity? This role offers the potential for considerable professional success and fulfilment within a thriving and highly successful High Net Worth (HNW) private client team, part of a fast-growing and ambitious global insurance business.

About the Company

Join a leading, growing insurance group and large UK employee-owned business that fosters a rewarding global workplace of 19,000 employees across 100 countries. This company encourages independent thinkers and entrepreneurial mindsets, valuing diverse perspectives and cultivating a culture focused on positive impact. An award-winning business, they push insurance boundaries, using their skills to build resilience and drive change. They offer ample opportunities for work-life balance, career growth, sustainability, and volunteering among supportive colleagues who empower innovation and challenge conventions.

About the Role

As a Private Client Handler, you'll join a HNW business team of 12 (within a larger HNW division), focusing on proactively handling existing business renewals. This is primarily a desk-based role, though in-person client meetings are encouraged and supported. You will manage insurance for a discerning clientele with high-value possessions, including exquisite jewellery, art collections, classic cars, and luxury homes.

Your key focus will be crafting bespoke insurance solutions and providing unparalleled individual guidance. Your portfolio will encompass mid to high net worth (HNW) home, motor, fine art, jewellery, travel, and pet insurance. You'll place business on the open market, through leading insurers, and via a delegated mid-net-worth scheme.

The key to success in this role is exemplary service – over 95% of the company's clients choose to stay each year. You'll be responsible for personalising and supporting between 25-30 clients per month with their insurance renewals. You won’t be afraid to rewrite the rulebook to create the best custom-made solutions, streamlining processes to make insurance arrangements simpler with minimal fuss. You'll take ownership of your decisions, actions, and outputs, consistently striving to exceed client expectations and building close, long-term personal relationships, both externally and internally.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a personable, confident individual with a passion for excellent customer service and client retention. You'll have experience developing and building long-lasting relationships with private or HNW clients.

You'll be a proven negotiator, ensuring the best possible terms and premiums for clients. Your tenacity and natural business curiosity will enable you to identify and explore opportunities for existing clients to drive the best possible outcome, including cross-sales which will earn you an attractive quarterly bonus incentive.

Naturally consultative, you'll have the ability to question effectively and be an active listener. You'll take the time to fully understand client requirements and be able to advise on products and solutions, always thinking about client needs and referring identified opportunities – we're always looking for a 'path to yes'. You'll also work closely with colleagues to support larger accounts from start to finish, including attending meetings, taking notes, speaking to insurers, and working through renewal presentations and terms.

Ideally, you'll bring insurance experience of account handling Mid to HNW clients across personal lines insurance. While not essential, experience with Acturis and studying towards Cert CII qualifications would be useful.

This is a great opportunity to expand your insurance knowledge and become Cert CII qualified, as every day will be different and you'll be encouraged to learn.

What You'll Receive

This is a hybrid role. After completing your training and induction period, which includes 3 days in the office and 2 from home (subject to business needs).

The highly competitive compensation structure includes:

  • A monthly salary (dependent on experience)
  • The chance to earn uncapped quarterly commission on cross sales/referral business (Commercial, Financial Services etc)

You'll also enjoy full supported incentives for accelerated career progression, including excellent training and development schemes and company-funded CII professional qualifications.

As you can expect, there’s an excellent holiday allowance and enviable benefits provision, including:

  • 25 days holiday increasing to 27 days + options to purchase holiday
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Enhanced Paternity & Maternity
  • UK-wide gym membership
  • High Street Retailer Discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension contribution up to 10% ... and more!

Enjoy the freedom to perform, develop your experience, and carve your own bespoke path to success all within a dynamic, welcoming, and supportive environment. All you need for this incredible opportunity is the talent to succeed and the potential to grow.
