?? Day-to-Day Responsibilities of a Year 6 Teacher:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school.
• Supporting pupils’ academic progress, particularly in core subjects like English, Maths, and Science.
• Assessing and tracking pupil attainment, identifying areas for development and providing targeted support.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and independence.
• Preparing pupils for SATs, including revision strategies and exam techniques.
• Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support pupil wellbeing and development.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a safe and productive learning space.

? Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
• DBS on the Update Service
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching
