Teaching Assistant - Level 2

• Hourly Rate: £14.18
• Location: Lancaster
• Job Type: Part-time (Mornings Only)

Join our team at a vibrant primary school as a Teaching Assistant, focusing on Lower KS2. This role offers a friendly and supportive environment, ideal for someone passionate about providing general classroom support. An immediate start is available, and experience with children with EAL (English as an Additional Language) is desirable but not essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide general classroom support for Lower KS2.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a positive, educational environment that promotes student learning.
• Support the teacher in planning and implementing lessons and activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task.
• Assist children with different needs, particularly those with EAL, ensuring they are effectively included in lessons.
• Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with children; experience with EAL children is desirable.
• Ability to speak additional languages is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, understanding, and patient approach to student learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
