Join a supportive team at a school in rural Lancaster as a Teaching Assistant. This role involves working 1-to-1 with a pupil, focusing on delivering targeted interventions without behavioural challenges. Day-to-day of the role:
- Work 1-to-1 with a pupil, providing tailored support and interventions.
- Deliver targeted Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and dyslexia interventions.
- Collaborate closely with external agencies to deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress in academic and developmental areas.
- Maintain close communication with the pupil's family to ensure a cohesive approach to education and support.
- Provide social and emotional support to enhance the pupil's learning experience and personal development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with SALT and dyslexia intervention knowledge.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to the educational development and well-being of children.
- Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies, school staff, and families.
