This role is particularly focused on supporting pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to reach their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported.
  • Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and the creation of creative displays.
  • Encourage independence, resilience, and a love of learning among students.
  • Work closely with staff, families, and external professionals to support individual progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Confidence in supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs).
  • A calm, caring, and adaptable approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive school culture.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
