The Role - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

As a HLTA working through Academics, you will:

• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
• Provide targeted intervention and support for individuals and small groups.
• Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and the wider school community to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

About You

To be considered for this HLTA position, you should have:

• HLTA status or equivalent relevant qualification/experience.
• Proven experience supporting learning across the primary phase.
• Confidence to deliver lessons and manage whole classes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach.
