KS1 Pupil Support Assistant – Fixed Term Contract (Until August 2026)

Potential for Permanent Position.

Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire. Start Date: As soon as possible.

Closing date: 14th September.

Salary: B3 (fte £24’348) / Pro Rata £17’170.00.

We are a friendly, three-form entry infant school with a strong commitment to inclusive education. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support pupils in Key Stage 1 who require assistance with social and emotional needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in special educational needs (SEN), particularly Autism, and a passion for helping children thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent, tailored support to individual pupils.
• Facilitate access to the curriculum through adapted learning activities.
• Encourage the development of social skills and peer relationships.
• Use positive behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to implement and review Individual Support Plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures.
