We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a long-term basis within a Wakefield primary school. This role is pivotal in supporting teaching staff and enhancing the educational development of students within a vibrant community in Wakefield.

• Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Lead small group interventions to support students’ learning and progress.
• Provide one-to-one support for students with special educational needs or those requiring additional assistance.
• Support the educational development of students during teachers’ PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) sessions.
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Encourage pupils to become independent learners and provide support for student welfare and inclusion in all aspects of academy life.

• Advanced levels of knowledge and skills in education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute effectively to lesson planning and preparation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage classroom activities and student interactions.
