Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Chichester (Primary)
At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting higher-level teaching assistants (HLTA's) for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to work at a fantastic SEND school in Chichester to start ASAP!
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality teaching assistants to work with these schools to positively impact the progress and attainment of their pupils.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about providing outstanding provision for young people who present with challenging behaviour. You will need to possess a good understanding of pupils with complex needs and display the confidence needed to work with pupils who experience social, emotional and mental health challenges.
There is flexibility in the start date for this position, so a September start can be accommodated for the right person.
About the role:
Our HLTA duties can include:
Working with small groups of pupils
Covering pre-planned lessons when the class teacher is unavailable
Providing intervention support
1:1 support for SEND and lower ability pupils
Assisting with general classroom duties including display boards and preparing worksheets
The ideal applicant will have:
At least 6 months experience of working with children or in a school
Level 4 HLTA Qualification or, Undergraduate degree in Education
A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
