• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all pupils to reach their potential

• Use a range of assessment methods to track progress and inform future teaching

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events

• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning

• Engage fully with the school’s ECT induction programme and CPD opportunities

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending award in Summer 2025

• Degree in Education or relevant subject area

• A passion for teaching and a strong understanding of child development

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting (e.g. via placements)

• Strong behaviour management strategies

• Familiarity with Birmingham LA procedures and policies
