Legal Practice Manager – GuildfordSalary: £35,000–£45,000 per annumFull-time | Occasional Hybrid working available

A highly regarded and long-established law firm in Guildford is seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Practice Manager to join its leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the smooth running and strategic development of a busy legal practice.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Lead and support the administrative and reception teams, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Manage office facilities and liaise with IT providers to ensure smooth operations

Finance Support

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Oversee billing processes, credit control, and supplier management
  • Work closely with external accountants and internal stakeholders to ensure financial compliance

HR & Recruitment

  • Support recruitment processes including advertising, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Maintain HR records and support employee relations and performance management
  • Champion staff wellbeing and professional development initiatives

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure the firm meets all regulatory and compliance obligations, including SRA standards
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures in line with best practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a legal practice management or similar operational role
  • Strong understanding of legal compliance, HR processes, and financial administration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with legal practice management systems is desirable
