Practice Bookkeeper/Management Accountant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

A small but thriving accountancy practice firm in Eastleigh is looking to strengthen their team with the addition of an experienced bookkeeper/management account to pick up a substantial amount of client work in an outsourcing capacity.The role will be varied, working with a wide range of client companies, and will involve some site visits to clients to assist them with in-house systems, so you will need to have your own transport. You will also be providing cover for the payroll manager as required, so knowledge in this area would be very useful. If you have worked in an accountancy practice before and could also prepare some year-end accounts, this would be great, but it is not essential. The most important thing in this role is that you are experienced enough to work with very little supervision and are able to prioritise your work accordingly. This is an important role for the firm and experience is more important than qualifications. You will need to be a team player, able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike, with a good knowledge of computerised accountancy systems, ideally to include Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and FreeAgent.As the practice is looking to grow, this is an excellent opportunity to find your niche and develop and the practice does.
