About the role
This is an exciting time of change for the RNLI. We are embarking on several organisation-wide change programmes that will improve the experience of our volunteers, supporters, and our people. This presents an opportunity for you to come and help us define and shape a new and improved approach to change management at the RNLI. We need you to help us understand what good change management looks like - from initial inception through to making sure change has been embedded appropriately. We’ll be looking for your infectious energy and passion for change to shine through as you help the RNLI shift to that new change management approach.
As the Portfolio Change Manager, you will be leading the planning, development, and implementation of our change management strategies and plans. Supported by your colleagues in the central portfolio office, you will need to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and support for change initiatives.
About you
We want to hear from you if you have experience with established change management methodologies and frameworks (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR), significant experience of working within a change portfolio environment (ideally with exposure to both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments), and exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
With proven experience of technology enabled and business change, you are someone who leads with integrity and consideration, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is familiar with project management principles and practices. It would be good if you have a Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP), although we understand that wisdom and knowledge also comes from experience and if you have the necessary qualities, skills and experience, and want to be part of a team where your efforts contribute to saving even more lives, then we would love to hear from you.
Safeguarding
The RNLI is committed to safeguarding; protecting a person’s health, wellbeing, and human rights, enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. We expect all employees and volunteers to share this commitment and have a zero-tolerance approach. The suitability of all prospective employees and volunteers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment. This will include relevant criminal record checks being carried out dependent on the eligibility of the role. (England & Wales; DBS check, Scotland; Disclosure Scotland PVG, Northern Ireland; Access NI, Republic of Ireland; Garda Vetting; International, International Child Protection Certificate process).
Diversity at the RNLI
Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards Our Vision: To save Every One.
