PLC Engineer - VGC Group : Job Details

VGC are currently recruiting for a PLC Engineer to join HS2 project in Kingsbury near Tamworth.

Job Duties:

• Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs.
• Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how processes will work.
• Developing and installing machine programs using automation Scada software and custom coding languages.
• Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.
• Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting system errors.
• Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.
• Documenting development processes.
• Providing clients with technical support.

Requirements - CSCS card or equivalent, Engineering degree and experience

Working hours-  Monday - Friday 7.30 - 5.30 with an hour break each day

Rate - £38. 60per hour PAYE

Overtimes- 

During the week - over 10 hours - time and a third

Weekends - time and a half

Lodge allowance will be provided for candidates located 50 miles and over from the job and further. Lodge allowance will be £49.08 per shift (taxable)
