Plant Manager - Tunnelling

£40,000 - £60,000

We are currently seeking a skilled Plant Manager to oversee our operations in tunnelling, boring, sinking, and pipe jacking. As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our plant facilities, equipment, and resources to ensure the successful execution of projects in these specialized areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Optimize plant performance through effective utilization of resources and implementation of best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to plan and execute projects efficiently.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead and motivate plant staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in plant management, preferably in tunnelling, boring, sinking, or pipe jacking operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and heavy equipment operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
