Senior HGV / Heavy Plant Engineer – Fitter

Location: Bicester, with UK-wide travel

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 Overtime Van Allowances

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Join a well-established, industry-leading specialist equipment provider offering a rare opportunity for a Senior HGV or Heavy Plant Engineer to step into a high-responsibility, hands-on role working with advanced mechanical and hydraulic systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain concrete and heavy plant equipment including mixers, pumps, silos, batching plants, and volumetric mixers.
• Work on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical (12/24V & 3-Phase), and electronic systems (e.g., CANbus, PLC).
• Travel to customer sites across the UK for servicing and repairs.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and fitters.
• Carry out inspections, fault diagnostics, and final commissioning of repaired equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven senior-level experience in HGV or heavy plant engineering.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with diagnostics, 12/24V electrical systems, 3-phase power, and control electronics.
• Ability to work independently and represent the business professionally on customer sites.
• Full UK driving licence.
