The Role:

At term time teachers, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a Science Department at a fantastic school near Tunbridge Wells. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of physics and the ability to inspire students at all levels, from KS3 through to A-Level or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Use innovative teaching methods to accommodate a range of learning styles
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and school-wide events
  • Support students in academic and extracurricular science activities

Requirements:

  • A degree in Physics or a related subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching Physics, ideally up to A-Level
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • Passion for inspiring young minds and promoting scientific thinking

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
