Contract PHP Developer | Manchester (2 days on site) | £350-£450 p/day (Outside IR35) | PHP, Laravel, JavaScript

Location: Manchester (3 months)Rate: £350-£450 p/dayTech: PHP (Laravel framework), MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript

We are working with a client in the financial sector based in Manchester that is seeking an experienced Contract PHP Developer to support the development and optimisation of both internal systems and customer-facing web platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and refactoring of the company's main website to align with modern standards and best practices
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Enhance and extend the customer dashboard, improving usability, performance, and data presentation
• Integrate third-party APIs to streamline workflows and support new financial services functionality
• Work closely with designers and front-end developers to ensure seamless UI/UX integration
• Contribute to code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and security across all deliverables

Requirements:

• Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS); experience with JS frameworks is a plus
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, regulated environments
• Previous experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable
