GPN Recruitment are delighted to be working with a highly-regarded boutique accountancy firm in Central London, who are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their team on a temporary basis from September or October 2025 through to the end of January 2026.

This assignment will see you supporting the firm through the busy Self Assessment season, preparing tax returns for a varied and interesting client base.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all submissions are accurate and deadlines are met. You will liaise directly with clients and the wider tax team, providing a seamless service during the peak reporting period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns for a range of HNWIs, directors, sole traders, and other personal clients.
• Reviewing client information and identifying any missing data to complete accurate returns.
• Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve any queries promptly.
• Assisting with any ad-hoc personal tax projects during the assignment.
• Ensuring compliance with current tax legislation and internal quality standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Experienced Personal Tax Senior with prior exposure to busy Self Assessment periods.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and HMRC filing requirements.
• Confident in managing a varied client portfolio, with excellent attention to detail.
• Familiar with tax software (CCH, IRIS, Digita, or similar).
• Able to commit to the full duration from September/October 2025 – January 2026.
