Job Description :
  • Annual Salary: £38,000 (pro rata)
  • Location: Dagenham
  • Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (3 - 6 months, with potential to extend) - Immediate start

We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant with a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy. This role involves providing high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with internal standards. Candidates must reside in or near the Dagenham area.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including minute taking, diary management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Prepare, proofread, and manage confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure all administrative processes comply with governance and policy frameworks.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor deadlines and follow up on actions to ensure timely delivery of key projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with data protection and compliance standards.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of committee papers, briefings, and governance reports.
  • Assist with the implementation of internal policies and procedures.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and local authority policy.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
