We’re looking for a dedicated Personal Advisor (PA) to support care leavers in building independent, fulfilling lives through trauma-informed and relationship-based practice.
Location: OL6 postcode area
Pay Rate: £18.34 per hour
Duration: Temporary assignment
Working Hours: Flexible, includes home visits and duty rota participation
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with care leavers and co-produce tailored pathway plans
- Advocate across services (education, housing, health, employment)
- Promote trauma-informed, safeguarding, and anti-discriminatory practices
- Conduct assessments, maintain records, and attend statutory reviews
- Facilitate group work and contribute to service development
What We’re Looking For
- Empathetic, open, and non-judgemental approach
- Strong communication, planning, and advocacy skills
- Ability to engage young people in safe, comfortable environments
- Knowledge of child development, trauma, and multi-agency working
- IT proficiency and confident use of digital recording tools
Qualifications
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Care of Children and Young People / NNEB / BTEC equivalent
- Desirable: Experience with domestic abuse, substance misuse, education/training support, and evidence-based practice
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel and visit young people in various settings
- Commitment to continuous learning and service improvement
- Confident spoken English for all aspects of the role
