Become a People Services Team Leader
As the People Services Team Leader, you will be instrumental in guiding and supporting the People Services team. Your strong background in HR operations, employee relations, and team leadership will be essential to our continued success. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality HR services,including on-boarding,driving key projects, and working collaboratively across departments to strengthen our people operations. Additionally, you’ll help shape and implement employee relations strategies that promote a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
Your Mission
- Support in developingand lead the People Services teamthrough objectives, coaching, check-ins, and personal development plans (PDP).
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services, including employee relations, HRadministration, and compliance.
- Own and deliver a first-class onboarding experience,ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for all new startersto have a great first, and on-goingimpression
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersto align HR objectives and drive business success.
- Identify and implement process improvementsto enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the People Services team.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirementsrelated to HR services.
- Oversee the management of HR data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and present HR reports, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
- Work closely with thePeople ServicesManagerto support ongoing projects within the People team.
- Communicate effectively with employeesregarding HR queries and processes.
- Support the developmentand implementation oftraining programmesto enhance team capabilities and support HRinitiatives.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employeeson employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws andregulations,stayingupdated on changes in legislation that may impact employee relations.
- Employee Relations mid-level case managementthrough to the final written stage
- Creating, updating and providing guidance on company policies, handling employee grievances, conducting investigations into workplace complaints, and advising on disciplinary actions.
Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart
Proven experience in HR services, ideally within a retail or similarmulti-siteindustry.Proven experience in leading and developing a team,guiding and inspiring success.Strong understanding of HR servicedelivery, including employee relations and HR administration.Ownership of the onboarding process–Experience in managing and delivering a seamless, high-quality onboarding journey that ensures a positive and engaging start for new employees.Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirementsrelated to HR services.Excellent analytical skillsto support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.Strong communication skills, including presenting to and influencing seniorleadership.Proven ability to collaborate effectivelywith various departments and stakeholders.Proficiency in managing HR dataand ensuring confidentiality.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and ex
