People Operations Team Lead

• Job Type: Permanent, hybrid working (1 day a week in the office) 
• Location: Shaftesbury area
• Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

We are seeking a People Operations Team Lead to provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the People Operations and Onboarding Administrators. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient onboarding, managing employee lifecycle changes, and supporting payroll preparation. The ideal candidate will act as the first point of escalation for the team, helping to solve problems, prioritise workloads, and deliver service excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Supervise and support the Administrators in the employed stream, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of onboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and payroll inputs.
• Act as the first point of escalation for queries, issues, or complex cases within the team.
• Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for employed staff, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Lead the preparation and submission of monthly payroll inputs, ensuring all data is validated and accurate before submission.
• Manage the People Ops ticketing system to ensure requests are processed in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor and improve the quality and compliance of processes, ensuring adherence to GDPR and internal policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Proficient in using HR and payroll systems (e.g., HiBob) and ticketing platforms (e.g., Freshservice).
• Experience supervising others in an HR, payroll, or administrative setting.
• Good understanding of HR administrative processes, including onboarding, payroll preparation, and employee lifecycle changes.
• Knowledge of GDPR and best practices for managing sensitive employee data.
