People Advisor

We are excited to support a Not for Profit organisation based in Liverpool in their search for a People Advisor. This position has become available due to an internal promotion.

As a People Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all HR-related matters to employees and management. Your primary focus will be on Case Work, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations issues, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer sound HR advice and guidance to employees and management
  • Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and absences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including retention, performance, conduct, remuneration, retirement, and absence management
  • Conduct HR-related training sessions for staff
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation

Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR advisory role
  • Thorough understanding of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in HR software and systems
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for coaching and educating others
  • A drive to push processes forward and make a positive impact

  • Hybrid working model - approximately three days on-site and two days working from home
