Are you a pensions professional with strong governance knowledge and seeking an exciting new challenge? If so then look no further!

We are currently partnered with a leading pensions organisation, supporting them in their search to appoint Support Professional Trustees on a permanent basis to assist their team in delivering effective trusteeship and consulting services.Initially, the role will focus on supporting the team in the provision of services in relation to the effective governance of the pension schemes for which they are trustee, including scheme secretariat services. Our client would expect the individual to develop into an experienced professional trustee in time and would look to provide training and support to help with this progression.

Main responsibilities in this role would include:

  • Undertaking Scheme Business Plan tasks, actioning these and ensuring progessions are made within agreed timeframes.
  • Planning Scheme/Trustee meetings, setting agendas and preparing meeting packs to distribute to all attendees.
  • Taking minutes and agreeing actions for Scheme/Trustee meetings and sending these ahead of time for review.
  • Reviewing budgets, ensuring invoices are in line and settled within agreed timeframes,
  • Dealing with member queries, ensuring swift responses and providing correct guidance to administrators, clients and customers.

In order to be considered for this role, our client is seeking individuals with:

  • Strong experience within the pensions field (either as an administrator, scheme secretary or related positions)
  • An understanding of pensions regulations and legislation and an ability to translate goverance requirements into understandable documentation.
  • Able to liaise with and manage the Trustee's advisers to ensure key deliverables.
  • An understanding of pension trusteeship, with significant knowledge of developing / current pension industry issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to articulate technical points into layman’s’ terms.
  • Excellent project and budget management skills.
