Pensions Administrator

Are you an experienced Pensions Administrator with a strong understanding of both Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and company pension schemes?

We're looking for a dedicated individual to join my client’s team in Hatfield. You will manage the pension arrangements for approximately 3,000 employees so must have previous experience in dealing with high volumes of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of LGPS administration, including joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and maternity/paternity leave implications.
  • Manage the administration of company pension schemes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all pension-related queries from our 3,000 employees, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Maintain accurate pension records and ensure data integrity across all pension systems.
  • Keep up to date with changes in pension legislation and ensure all schemes remain compliant.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports on pension scheme performance and participation.
  • Work closely with pension providers, actuaries, and internal finance and HR teams.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in managing and administering both LGPS and company pension schemes.
  • In-depth knowledge of current pension legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex pension information clearly to employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using pension administration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage a large workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A relevant qualification in pensions or financial services is desirable but not essential.
