About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive payroll professional to join a growing accountancy practice based in Newport. You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll needs for your own portfolio of around 100 clients. These range from single director setups to more complex weekly payrolls, giving great exposure to a mix of requirements and industries. While you’ll have full ownership of your portfolio, you’ll still be working closely within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing your own portfolio of payroll clients (approx. 100), from simple director-only setups to more involved payrolls.
End-to-end processing including starters/leavers, pensions, HMRC submissions, statutory payments, etc.
Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and deliver a smooth payroll experience
Reporting back to the Tax Director
Key Requirements:
At least 3 years of payroll experience in a practice
Must be confident managing multiple payrolls independently
Great communication and organisational skills
Preferably experience of using BrightPay
Xero and Sage Payroll experience is advantageous
