You'll be the architect of our payroll operations, ensuring over 50?0 employees across currently eight companies, are paid accurately and on time using Sage 50 Payroll. Beyond the monthly cycles, you'll be instrumental in:

• Mastering the Details: Accurately calculate all statutory payments (PAYE, TAX, NIC, attachment of earnings, SMP, SSP)
• Driving Financial Integrity: Handle monthly payroll journal postings into Sage 200, and conduct monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Owning Pensions: Fully manage auto-enrolment pension processes
• Strategic Integration: Play a key part in the timely integration of payroll systems for newly acquired entities
• Collaborating & Reporting: Work hand-in-hand with HR on onboarding, holiday/sick leave management, and provide vital data for monthly management accounts and annual audits
• Managing Payments: Oversee all BACS transfers for monthly salary payments, monthly HMRC payments, monthly Pensions payments, and other ad hoc third-party payments (AOE, CMS, etc.)
• Tax Compliance: Calculate and submit payments for P11Ds and PSAs to HMRC.
• Cost Management: Prepare monthly and quarterly salary recharge

• ?Proven payroll experience and relevant payroll qualifications or working towards.
• ?Immediat to start or short notice period
• Local to or within commuting distance to East Croydon Station
• An excellent understanding of all statutory requirements, including pension reforms.
• Sage 50 Payroll experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• A team player who thrives under pressure and can use their initiative.
• Team management skills - you're ready to inspire and develop, oversee a small team of x2.
• The ability to adapt to change in an evolving environment.
