Location: Warwick

Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on experience)

As the market leader for off-grid energy solutions, we're seeking a dynamic Payroll Manager to lead the way in delivering comprehensive, accurate, and timely payroll services. With a payroll of circa 2000 colleagues and one direct report, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operation of payroll and delivering a great employee experience.

Less about us & more about you:

As our Payroll Manager, you'll be at the forefront of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and driving process improvement initiatives. You'll oversee the monthly and annual payroll processes, including reconciliation and balancing of payroll data. Additionally, you'll be responsible for processing inbound and outbound international assignments and resolving complex payroll queries. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards and fostering a collaborative team environment, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service and employee experience.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Set objectives and provide support to the Payroll Assistant
  • Manage monthly/annual payroll processes accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll and pensions requirements
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and resolve complex payroll queries
  • Collaborate with HR teams and stakeholders effectively

What will you need?

  • 2-3+ years of Payroll Management experience
  • Previous experience with Workday Payroll (desirable but not essential)
  • Payroll Qualification (IPPM/CIPP) desirable
  • Strong financial accounting knowledge and balance sheet reconciliations skills
  • Proficiency in computerized payroll databases and Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
