About the Role:We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team within a dynamic accountancy practice based near London Bridge. The successful candidate will take ownership of managing complex, multi-company payrolls using Sage Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with UK payroll legislation.

Key Responsibilities:• Manage and process end-to-end payrolls for multiple companies within a practice environment.• Lead and support a small payroll team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.• Handle auto-enrolment and pension submissions including NOW, NEST, and Royal London.• Submit BACS salary payments via Sage.• Ensure accurate processing and reporting of statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP).• Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and advise clients accordingly.• Provide exceptional client service and resolve payroll queries promptly.• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:• Proven experience in a UK accountancy practice managing payroll across multiple companies.• Proficient in Sage Payroll and BACS salary payment systems.• Strong understanding of pension schemes including NOW, NEST, and Royal London.• Up-to-date knowledge of statutory payments and UK payroll legislation.• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.• Experience with payroll reconciliation and reporting.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Salary : 40000 - 45000
