We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Payroll Coordinator to join a fast-paced Entertainment environment. This role will support both employee and freelancer payroll, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately while providing a first-class service to the team.This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 3 days in the office, 2 from home. Key duties:
- Coordinating freelancer payments, raising weekly orders and making sure details are captured correctly across the business
- Supporting the review of freelancer tax status and keeping records up to date
- Overseeing onboarding paperwork for new freelancers and ensuring compliance is maintained
- Acting as the first point of contact for freelancer pay queries, resolving issues where possible and escalating when needed
- Assisting with monthly payroll preparation and working closely with an outsourced provider to meet deadlines
- Helping to reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis
- Producing regular and ad hoc payroll reports across multiple systems
- Getting involved in projects around legislation changes and process improvements for both employee and freelancer payroll
Key skills:
- Previous experience in payroll, ideally covering both employees and freelancers/contractors
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident with numbers and able to work across different systems
- A team player with great communication skills, able to build relationships across the business
- Adaptable and happy to work in a fast-moving, creative environment
