Think Accountancy & Finance are working with an award-winning, fast-growing global business in Chester to recruit a Payment & Payroll Administrator. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with an administrative background who enjoys working with numbers and is keen to build a career in payroll, pensions, and payments.
You'll join a supportive central payments team and play a vital role in ensuring subcontractors and employees are paid accurately and on time. It's a great step for someone who's analytical, confident with data, and looking to develop their expertise in areas like tax, pensions, and payroll compliance.
What you'll be doing
Processing payments accurately and on time for employees and subcontractors
Supporting payroll cycles, including pensions and statutory payments
Handling queries on tax, pensions, and timesheets, becoming a trusted point of contact
Working with agencies and internal teams to keep invoices, receipts, and payment statuses up to date
Taking on wider administrative tasks to support the payments team
Who we're looking for
Previous administration experience (ideally with some exposure to finance, payroll or HR)
Strong numerical and analytical skills, enjoys working with data
A logical problem-solver who is confident (or keen to learn) how to handle payroll, tax, and pension queries
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accurate with data entry
A strong communicator who is organised and works well under pressure
