G2 Legal is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Patent Litigation Solicitor with NQ to 3 years of PQE to join our client's dynamic legal team. This role will primarily focus on handling Patent Litigation matters with a specific emphasis on cases related to the High Court and UPC.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patent law, life sciences, and writing skills, and a passion for representing clients in complex patent disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patent Litigation: Manage and support patent litigation cases from inception to resolution, with a primary focus on High Court and UPC Matters
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research, analysis, and due diligence to build strong case strategies and stay updated on the latest developments in patent law, especially as they relate to the High Court
  • Drafting and Filing: Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and responses, and manage case-related correspondence
  • Case Management: Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to efficiently manage case workloads and deadlines
  • Negotiation: Engage in negotiations, settlements, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) efforts when appropriate
  • Client Development: Contribute to business development efforts by maintaining client relationships, participating in pitches, and identifying opportunities for new cases

Qualifications:

  • NQ to 3 years of PQE in patent litigation, with a strong preference for candidates with a focus on High Court matters
  • Previous experience in Life Sciences
  • Excellent academics
  • In-depth knowledge of patent law and litigation procedures
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
