The Role

As a Pastoral Support Manager, you will work closely with Year Leads and other pastoral leaders to:

• Promote excellent behaviour, discipline, and attendance.
• Provide high levels of pastoral care, ensuring students feel supported, valued, and motivated.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to foster early intervention strategies.
• Encourage students to engage positively with school life and adhere to the Academy’s values.
• Support the wider school community in creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• You will be at the heart of our mission to help students thrive – academically and personally – while acting as a role model for professionalism and integrity.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in supporting young people in education, youth, or community settings.
• Skilled in managing student behaviour and conducting investigations or interviews.
• Approachable, empathetic, and able to motivate students with authority and care.
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
• A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
• Committed to confidentiality, fairness, and inclusion.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – are essential, along with a genuine passion for working with young people in a diverse and multi-cultural school community.
