Reed Finance are partnered exclusively with a construction business near Bracknell to bring in a new Finance Manager on a part-time basis (3 days a week, flexible on working hours). You will oversee the Finance function with the support of an assistant, so there is ample opportunity to make this role your own and work at the heart of this growing business.

Operating as part of a larger Group, the company supplies high-quality construction equipment and services to clients across the UK. This is the first in-house finance role for this subsidiary and offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the business and contribute to key business decisions. Reporting to the MD and Group FD, this tight-knit team offers and friendly and supportive working environment with a fantastic culture. This is a very hands-on and broad role and requires someone who can work independently and manage their workload over part-time hours.

Please note this role is predominantly on-site although does offer flexible working hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and support ongoing reforecasting
  • Liaise with the Group Finance Team in London to support consolidated accounts and group reporting
  • Supervise the accounts assistant and work closely with the Operations Manager
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns, and assist with CIS compliance
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit control processes
  • Maintain robust internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide liaison and documentation as required

You will ideally be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with solid experience in management accounts, cashflow, and budgeting. This is a busy and colourful working environment so you will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels - from construction site workers to corporate board members. You will ideally have past exposure to a Group environment and will have experience with Group reporting.

Salary offered is up to £60k FTE

Salary : 50000 - 60000
