About the Role:Redbridge Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal Services team, assisting with disrepair cases. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in housing and property law while supporting the council's commitment to safe and well-maintained housing for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist solicitors with disrepair casework, including reviewing evidence, drafting correspondence, and preparing case files.

• Conduct legal research relevant to housing and property law.

• Liaise with tenants, landlords, contractors, and other stakeholders.

• Support case management, ensuring files are accurate and up to date.

• Assist in preparation for hearings or settlement negotiations.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Paralegal or equivalent experience in housing, property, or public sector law.

• Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and processes is desirable.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organised with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
