We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant / Paralegal with proven experience in Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). Day-to-day of the role:
- Draft and prepare Wills, LPAs, and associated legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates throughout the process.
- Manage client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
- Coordinate appointments for Will signings and LPA certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Support solicitors and fee earners with administrative and legal tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a legal environment, specifically with Wills and LPAs.
- Strong understanding of the legal processes and documentation involved in estate planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients.
