Panel Wirer

• Annual Salary: £18 - £20 per hour, depending on experience
• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Newcastle

Our client is currently expanding and seeking skilled Panel Wirers to join their team.

This role involves assembling electrical control panels. If you have experience in panel wiring and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Fit electrical components and wiring based on schematic drawings.
• Assemble power distribution units using hand and power tools.
• Conduct elements of panel testing to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Work with both single and three-phase power systems.
• Handle both high and low volume wiring assemblies.
• Engage in fault finding and repair activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Essential experience working with single and three-phase systems.
• Experience with busbar assemblies is highly desirable.
• Previous panel wiring and electrical testing experience is highly desirable.
• 18th Edition certification is highly desirable.
• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and understand electrical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to schematic drawings.
