Job Title: Paint Shop Production Manager Location: DerbySalary: Up to £50,000 + Shift allowanceWorking Hours: Mornings & Afternoons (06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00)Reporting To: Services Manager Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Paint Shop Production Manager to join our client's paint project team based in Derby. This role is critical to the efficient and safe running of paint operations and requires strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.The successful candidate will support the Services Manager in overseeing paint production, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and delivering successfully against the client's paint shop deadlines. You will help drive operational performance, support staff development, and ensure smooth transitions across production stages.The paint activities will entail spraying large rolling stock vehicles, and so therefore experience in working with large paint application processes is a must. Responsibilities* Uphold and enforce Health & Safety standards throughout all areas of production while ensuring the right paint quality standards are delivered* Support the delivery of performance targets across all paint production.* Record and report near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.* Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures across all departments.* Conduct disciplinary investigations and hearings where required.* Support onboarding of new starters in collaboration with the training mentor.* Maintain high performance standards through consistent and fair management.* Collaborate with the Services Manager to set and deliver production targets.* Oversee key production processes across all shifts and stages.* Monitor and evaluate time and motion studies where applicable.* Lead initiatives focused on process improvement and cost reduction.* Assist in managing contract transitions to ensure uninterrupted production flow.Please note all candidates must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to commencing employment.For more information about this role and how to apply please contact Jarreth Mayze at Shorterm Group on
