Job Title - Packaging TechnologistSalary - Up to £40,000 depending on experience. Location - Manchester - Hybrid working Job Type - 12 month FTC, Full-Time Russell Taylor Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Packaging Technologist to join our clients marketing team. This is an office-based role, rather than factory-based so we are looking for someone with more of a desk based background. The Role• Be responsible for end-to-end packaging creation e.g. liaise with factories, printers, head of procurement etc. • Be responsible for packing die lines, including assessment of die lines, liaising with artwork team and requesting printing specifications from printers. • Owning and maintaining packaging database. • Driving sustainability and packaging innovation.• Understanding retailer requirements and shelf specs and the impacts on packaging suitability and development. • Supporting the innovation team and own packaging requirements to deliver this.• Supporting technical team with reviewing packaging specs. • Supporting sales team and supply chain with packaging submissions. • Shape packaging processes to ensure continuous improvement. • Provide key reports on progress with packaging development.The Person• BSc degree or equivalent professional qualifications• Packaging Technologist experience• High organised and able to prioritise workloads• Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills• IT literate and able to communicate effectively.
