Are you an experienced change professional ready to lead impactful transformation in a public sector setting? We’re looking for a skilled Organisational Change Advisor to support the delivery of a time-limited change programme focused on achieving a more streamlined and sustainable organisation design within a reducing budget.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with senior leadership, HR, Finance, and programme teams to shape and deliver inclusive, legally compliant, and values-driven change. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, guiding the organisation through complex change with clarity, care, and a people-first approach.
This is a 6-month contract role with an hourly rate up to £38 per hour via an Umbrella company (inside IR35) with PAYE rates also available. We are able to offer hybrid working in this role and the location of the office is close to London Bridge, London.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the delivery of change strategies, plans, and interventions across the organisation.
- Conduct impact assessments and readiness reviews to identify and mitigate change-related risks.
- Draft consultation proposals and supporting documentation aligned to organisational design workstreams.
- Design and implement tailored communication and consultation strategies for staff and trade unions.
- Ensure legal compliance and best-practice employee relations throughout the change process.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, and training to build change capability.
- Monitor and report on change progress, outcomes, and staff sentiment.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in employee relations and leading organisational change, ideally within unionised environments.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver change plans under tight timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and collaborate at all levels.
- Skilled in navigating ambiguity, resolving conflict, and fostering trust.
- Proficiency in developing change tools such as impact assessments, roadmaps, and communication plans.
- Experience in building change capability in managers and teams.
