JOB TITLE – OPTICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

LOCATION – SW13

HOURS – Monday to Friday, flexible start and finish time between 7.30am and 6pm.HYBRID

SALARY –Up to £35k depending on experience plus discretionary bonus and benefits

The position will be office based with regular visits to customers and occasional international travel.

Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic eyewear company based. They design and manufacture both Sunglasses and Optical frames for the UK high street, Europe and the USA.  They are looking for a vibrant Account Manager, who loves the fast-paced Eyewear industry!

The successful candidate will work closely with their Manager and the rest of the Optical, Design, and Finance and Operations teams to deal with current Optical Accounts and to bring on board New Key Accounts.

They will be involved in all aspects of managing those accounts with the overall responsibility for developing & sourcing products to their customers’ requirements, through to delivery. They will be commercially focused, and have an impressive record of opening new accounts, managing existing accounts and communicating well with their customers.

The role would suit someone from an optical supplier sales background, with experience of supplying large retailers and Independents with private label and branded products.

The Candidate

  • Great communicator, with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail will be essential
  • A strong networker with a broad range of contacts in the market (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven success in bringing in new business and growing margins on existing accounts.
  • Have awareness of the market and be able to spot potential new opportunities both in product and new business.
  • Excellent commercial awareness balanced with a natural creative flair.
  • Excellent purchasing, brand and range planning and negotiating skills along with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A great team player with the ability to manage a Sales Co-ordinator.
  • A confident decision maker with the ability to execute your ideas quickly and effectively.
  • Hard worker, flexible and willing to travel.
