Operations Manager - R & D - TC Group : Job Details

Salary – Competitive dependent on experience

Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working & agile working policy

Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), plus birthday day off

About the Operations Manager role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to join our growing R & D team in our Northampton office. 

This is a key role working with clients and TC Group Partners, while supporting the Head of R & D with the onboarding of new clients and team management.  There will be opportunity for internal progression and professional development on other tax reliefs such as patent box & video games and we are also willing to consider relevant study support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Head of R & D with the onboarding of new clients
• Building relationships with clients & TC Group Partners
• Managing the workload and delivery times of the R & D Analysts
• Supporting the Head of R & D on the delivery of operation projects to the wider team
• Managing the team and all related people management tasks
• Being proactive to drive operational efficiency and lead on internal projects

About you –

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience of managing people
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate responsibility for managing clients, TC Partners, and own personal workload
• Previous experience of working with clients and offering a high level of client care
• Ability to build strong client relationships and generate repeat work and new business referrals
• Proactive and results driven   
• Knowledge of the R&D BEIS Guidelines advantageous
• Excellent time management & organisational skills
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• Project management skills advantageous but not necessary
