Operations Manager - Parking Enforcement

We are seeking an Operations Manager for our Client within the Parking Enforcement division. This role is crucial in managing the day-to-day operations of Parking Services, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with council goals. The successful candidate will manage various teams and projects, focusing on customer service and continuous improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for risk management, health & safety, and workforce planning.
- Service Delivery: Lead and support key areas such as Parking Enforcement, ANPR, Quality Assurance, or Maintenance & Cash Collection.
- Team Management: Manage staff performance, development, and attendance while promoting a culture of high performance.
- Project Leadership: Oversee projects, report to senior managers, and foster strong internal and external relationships.
- Performance & Quality: Monitor service quality, set performance targets, and ensure these targets are met.
- Customer Focus: Enhance systems and processes based on customer feedback and manage complaints effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant laws, policies, and council procedures.
- Budgeting: Assist in budget management and financial reporting.
- Representation: Represent the Council at meetings and public events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in the parking sector or a similar statutory & legislative service.
- Proven track record in operations management, team leadership, budget management, and project delivery.
- Knowledge of parking laws and regulations, such as the Traffic Management Act 2004.
- Proficiency in using IT systems and data to drive performance improvements.
- Experience in quality assurance frameworks like ISO 9001.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Relevant professional qualification (Level 4 or equivalent experience) or willingness to complete a Level 4 qualification in Parking Operations Management within 12–18 months.
