Operations Manager – Food ManufacturingChester£50,000 + bonus

Elevation Recruitment are extremely pleased to be exclusively supporting a global player in the FMCG market who are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations at their current facility, as well as play a key role in shaping the future of a new site. Reporting directly to the Board of Management, this role combines operational leadership with project input into the design, planning, and fit-out of a brand new manufacturing hub.

Key Responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:

• Lead, develop and manage production teams, including recruitment, development and
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring high levels of efficiency, quality, and output
• Develop and execute production schedules to meet business goals
• Manage resources across people, equipment, and materials to reduce waste and improve productivity
• Drive and maintain health & safety standards in line with industry regulations
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with product specifications
• Identify and resolve operational issues swiftly and effectively
• Support the planning and development of the new production facility
• Champion continuous improvement across all areas of manufacturing

We’re looking for Operations Managers with the below skills & experience:

• Proven leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of production processes and quality systems (BRC or equivalent)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid understanding of health & safety regulations within a food manufacturing setting
• Engineering aptitude and hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Ability to balance day-to-day operational delivery with strategic planning for future growth
