Operations Manager - Candidate Source - TEAM : Job Details

A family-owned business headquartered in Canada with several internationally based manufacturing and sales/service centres is looking to appoint an Operations Manager with a background in project led production and manufacturing. Along with a salary of up to £75,000 per annum, you will also receive a 10% bonus, £450 per month car allowance and 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays. As Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring organisational effectiveness by effectively leading on the manufacturing in its entirety for assembly operations
• Ensuring the current and future success of the site remains sustainable in the areas of fulfilment, quality, and operating margin. 
• Being the site representative for Health & Safety
• Procurement of materials to support production by maintaining part availability at point of fit, management of inventory to meet operational demand and on time delivery within working capital targets
• Working with and providing support to the global supply chain team to ensure the correct balance of local and global sourcing capabilities are employed to meet quality, volume, and cost demands.
• Supporting the development and the delivery of the long-term strategy for the function and managing both near and mid-horizon projects and associated KPI's.

We’re looking for an Operations Manager with the following:

• Previous experience in the role, or as a General/Production/Manufacturing Manager
• An Electrical or Mechanical-related qualification
• Previous hands-on experience with HVAC / Pumps – Engineering type roles
• Strong People Management/Leadership experience
• A background in reporting within a matrix structure
