Job Description :

My client is looking for an adept Operations Manager with a variety of industry knowledge and experience to work on a six-month contract. This is a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and innovation.

The role involves conducting a comprehensive review of business operations, including grounds and building maintenance, commercial and holiday lets of a large country estate. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing proposals to refine processes and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) that bolster productivity while curtailing costs and wastage.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of current operations, pinpointing areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and propose new processes and SOPs to streamline operations, enhance staff productivity and reduce operational costs and waste.
  • Document all new processes and SOPs within our project management software to ensure consistency and continuity in business operations.
  • Collaborate with department heads and management to gather insights and feedback on operational practices, ensuring new SOPs align with business objectives.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes, including creating training materials and resources to support the onboarding of new team members and the transition of existing staff to new procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on process optimization and SOP development.
  • Exceptional analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software for documenting and tracking business processes.
  • Adept at leading change and managing cross-functional team efforts effectively.
